A tasty cabbage soup prepared with polish sausage. Polish-flavoured dish ideal for rainy evenings. Smile, put some music on and let’s cook.

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
200g of bacon
350g of kielbasa
1 medium onion,
1 medium carrot
1 small head cabbage + 1 cup of sauerkraut
8 cups of chicken stock
1 large potato
salt, pepper, paprika, 2 bay leaves
Directions:
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat until shimmering. Add bacon and kielbasa and cook, stirring for about 5 minutes. Add onion and carrot and continue cooking for about 4 minutes. Add cabbage cook about 3 minutes. Add sauerkraut with its juice, chicken stock, salt and pepper.
Bring soup to a boil. Season to taste with more salt and white pepper as desired. Stir in chopped herbs and serve with bread.
